Q: How did Aryu-Deva get it's name?
A: Obviously we had a play on the word 'Ayurveda' when we set about naming the product line, but it went deeper than that. Some people think the word 'Diva' is all about entitlement. I believe everyone is entitled to effective, non-toxic skin care at a reasonable cost without a bunch of gimmicks and hard sell. Q: How does Ayurvedic science apply to skin care, particularly anti-aging skin care?
A: Our original product (BioScience Peptide Complex) was 'discovered' in a pharmaceutical house in New Delhi and was developed by a research chemist with a background in Ayurveda. It utilizes very effective peptides in the proper concentration in a base of proven Ayurvedic botanicals. When we decided to produce our own line of supporting skin care, we enlisted the aid of an ayurvedic practitioner to help us develop specific formulas for 3 basic skin types, Dry/Normal (Vatta) Oily (Kapha) and Sensitive/Prone to Rosacea (Pitta). Anti-aging skin care's primary focus is to make aging skin behave more like younger skin, by supporting free radical scavenging and collagen boosting, as well as increased skin cell turnover.
